ANTIRACISM & SOCIAL JUSTICE RESOURCES

Learning For Justice was founded 30 years ago by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Their framework is what guides our conversations about race, antiracism, gender, ability, class and more at The Butterfly Joint. Our conversations celebrate identity and diversity with attention to questions of justice and strategies for student action and collective action.

The Learning For Justice website is hands down the best comprehensive resource for educators and parents alike. It includes podcasts, articles, lesson plans, webinars, film kits and much, much more.

Our family has been members of the Southern Poverty Law Center for almost 10 years and are very strong believers in the work they do.

Please consider DONATING to the Southern Poverty Law Center to help support their work!

REP CO (Represent Collaborative) is a storytelling collaborative, co-founded by my wife, that covers issues of racial and social justice. The underlying theme behind all of their stories is activism, and how it manifests in ways other than simply protest and direct action. They are long-time media pros (including former and current EICs, creative directors, and staffers from pubs including The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, BBC, The Washington Post, Esquire, New York Magazine, San Francisco magazine, The New York Times, T Magazine, Seattle Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, Sunset, Lonny, Wired, C Magazine, Curbed, 7x7, Dwell, and so many more) who have committed to taking pro bono assignments in the service of creating sustained, quality coverage of the issues and people that might otherwise "stop trending". Because Black Lives Matter, always.
