Camps at The Butterfly Joint are for children grades Kindergarten and up with a limit of 16 students per camp (please read individual camp descriptions for specific grade minimums). Camps range from one day to week-long programs that run from 9:00am-3:00pm with a 75-min supervised lunch and recess. We take full advantage of the natural beauty that surrounds the shop so recesses are held at Sutro Heights Park, Golden Gate Park or Ocean Beach! Along with woodworking skills, The Butterfly Joint focuses on teaching children manners and personal responsibility as well as helping parents reinforce productive social and emotional behaviors for their children.
Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks. If a parent identifies their child as having an airborne nut allergy, all parents will be notified to pack nut-free lunches and snacks in our detailed email that goes out prior to the camp start date.
